Protest Of Pakistan Steel Employee

KARACHI: Members of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) backed labour union of Pakistan Steel Mills and their children held a protest demonstration on Thursday outside the Karachi Press Club against non-payment of two-month salaries.

Children were carrying placards and banners and raising slogans against Steel Mill administration.

Talking to PPI, President of Pakistan Steel Employees PML-N backed union Ghulam Shabir Mangi said Pakistan Steel Mills administration has been delaying to pay salaries to employees. He said when workers demanded their due rights, the administration issued them show cause notices.

Mangi said the federal government has issued a bailout package for restoration of Steel Mills and payment of salaries to the employees. He said Pakistan Steel was a profitable institute which is now stands on the brink of collapse due to wrong policies of past government.

He said present government is serious to run the Steel Mill but some black sheep are conspiring to close it or privatize it for peanuts.

He demanded of the government to help them in getting their salaries and withdrawal of show cause notices.

The employees also staged the protest demonstration outside the office of PSM and demanded the release of wages of four months at the earliest.

They also needed medical facilities besides clearance of dues after the retirement.

The protesters threatened to stage the sit-in at the Jinnah gate of the Steel Mills near National Highway if their needs were not touched.

PTI tells us that Asad Umar has done a favor to us and our elders by resigning from one of the most lucrative post in the corporate sector, and Pakistanis cannot pay back this favor to Asad Umar.

Corporate crook Asad Umar amassed tons of wealth when he was in key posts at different private sector companies in Pakistan and then later he was also serviced Shahbaz Sharif for a brief period. He also remained in touch with Asif Ali Zardari for sometime during the Benazir Bhutto era.

Now this angel Asad Umar is the proud son of General Ghulam Umar, the hero of 1971 war in which General Umar played a key role in making sure that Pakistan got dismembered, Bangladesh got formed, and Pakistani soldiers surrendered their arms to the Indian army.

Yes, Asad Umar and Zubair Umar are the sons of that father who surprisingly didn’t get any award. This prodigal son Asad Umar is on the mission to liberate Pakistan and to bring in revolution, just like his father brought revolution in 1917 and Pakistan broke into two parts.

Hamood ur Rehman Commission report specifically blamed General Umar for the Dhaka fall among other people and recommended that he should be tried and punished. Along with Imran Khan’s relative General Niazi, another character of shameful 1971 episode, General Umar was equally responsible.

Now these people are promising to be agent of change and champions of democracy and herald of freedom.
