Board of Intermediate Education Karachi has the authority to organized 11th and 12th class annual and supply exams for the regular and private students of Karachi. In contrary to BSEK, BIEK is exclusive for the intermediate level exams in Karachi. Every year, FA/ FSC part 1 & 2 exams are held after the matric level exams during the months of May and June. Written and practical papers are held in May and June respectively. Almost all the colleges in Karachi are affiliated with BIEK for their 11th and 12th class exams while thousands of intermediate private students also registered themselves for Karachi intermediate board every year.

After couple of months, Karachi Board inter result of 11th and 12th class annual exams is announced by BIEK in the month of September or October for the thousands of regular and private students of the board. Soon after the result announcement, the students can view their results at the official site of BIEK while the board also sends the result cards of all the participants of the exams at their mentioned addresses which reach their destination just few days after the result announcement.

After the result announcement of annual exams of intermediate, the unsuccessful students are allowed to sit in the supply exams of 11th and 12th class which are held couple of months after the result announcement of annual exams. The results of these inter class supply exams are issued after one or two months of the exams for the concerned students.
